Along the Ancient Coast of Turkey
 

DAY 1- ISTANBUL
You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel by a Sun&Fun tour representative. Enjoy a free afternoon.

DAY 2- ISTANBUL Tour Topkapi Palace
Residence of Ottoman sultans - beautiful Saint Sophia built in 537 AD, the Blue Mosque built in 1616, the Hippodrome site of Byzantine chariot races, and the covered Grand Bazaar. Optional dinner with belly dancing. (B)

DAY 3- DARDANELLES - GALLIPOLI - TROY - CANAKKALE
Drive along the Marmara Sea to the famous Gallipoli Battle field. Cross the Dardanelles to Asia and tour Troy’s legendary walls and replica of the wooden horse used during the Trojan War. Dinner and overnight in Canakkale. (B, D)

DAY 4- PERGAMUM - IZMIR
Walk ancient Pergamum’s acropolis to view the Altar of Zeus and a famous Roman medical center. Continue south to Izmir, Homer’s birthplace on the Aegean coast, for an overnight stay. (B, D).

DAY 5- EPHESUS, ST.MARY’S HOUSE & PAMUKKALE
Explore 2,000 year-old marble streets, a theater, the library of Celsius, a gymnasium, and Hadrian’s Temple in Ephesus. Visit the Virgin Mary’s stone cottage and Pamukkale’s spectacular white lime cascade cliffs. Enjoy a mineral spring bath at your hotel. (B, D)

DAY 6- HIERAPOLIS - BODRUM
Visit the Roman health spa ruins at Hierapolis. Then, travel to the Aegean resort of Bodrum. (B, D)

DAY 7- BODRUM
After breakfast we will visit the medieval Bodrum Castle built by the Knights of Rhodes which houses the Museum of underwater Archaeology. The Mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, is also in Bodrum. Later we transfer to the yacht, to enjoy a welcoming cocktail. (B, D)

DAY 8- YACHT CRUISE
Early departure to Knidos, an ancient Carian town where you will see the Remains of an amphitheatre and statues. (B, L, D).

DAY 9- YACHT CRUISE
Mersincik Port after breakfast, lunch at the port. Afternoon cruise to Cati, a landlocked small bay. (B, L, D).

DAY 10- YACHT CRUISE
Cruise to Cleopatra Island famous for its fine sand. Overnight at Sogut, a small cozy bay. (B, L, D).

DAY 11- YACHT CRUISE
Cruise to an English Harbour, Ballisu and Longoz bays. These are quite and picturesque bays suitable for swimming. (B, L, D).

DAY 12- YACHT CRUISE
Visit Cokertme and Kisebuk (Church) bays. (B, L, D).

DAY 13- YACHT CRUISE
Return to Bodrum, via Orak Island. Overnight in Bodrum. (B, L, D).

DAY 14- YACHT CRUISE
Transfer to airport for your homebound flight from Istanbul. (B).
